Within easy driving distance of the Scottish Border, Bolton Low Houses is just twelve miles from the historic towns of Cockermouth and Carlisle and less than three miles from Wigton (local shops, doctor, dentist and chemist). The perfect location for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, we are seven miles from the Lake District National Park and also conveniently situated for anyone wishing to enjoy the wildness of Hadrian's Wall Country with its superb Roman sites. Walkers, cyclists and fishing enthusiasts are all welcome. Local maps and details of Lake District walks are provided. For those arriving by train we can provide a free collection service from Carlisle by prior arrangement.
