DIRECTIONS TO LANE HEAD APARTMENT

By road:
Bolton Low Houses is just off the A595, the main road between Cockermouth and Carlisle. If travelling from the Keswick/Cockermouth direction take either the A66 or the A591 until you reach the A595. Turn right onto the A595 (signposted Carlisle) and about 12 miles from Cockermouth you will see a sign to Bolton Low Houses on the right. Take this turn, continue through the village and turn right just before the Oddfellow's Arms. A few hundred yards up the road there is a school on your left, turn right into the yard opposite the school and you have reached your destination.

From Carlisle take the A595 towards Cockermouth and Bolton Low Houses is signed to the left, again about 12 miles from the city. Go into the village and turn left at the Oddfellow's Arms and continue up to the school. From the M6 turn off at junction 41 and follow the B5305 for about 20 miles to the A595. At the T junction turn left onto the A595 (signposted Cockermouth) and two miles further on is the left turn for Bolton Low Houses. Go into the village and turn left at the Oddfellow's Arms and continue up to the school.

By rail:
Carlisle is the nearest main terminus. The most direct route from Carlisle is to take the 600 bus to Bolton Low Houses and ask for the stop by the Oddfellow's Arms. To reach the bus stop come out of the station and cross the road to the Citadel arch. Carry on up the road and through the pedestrianised shopping area. At Debenhams store turn left and the main rank of bus stops is by the Market Hall.
